MANILA, Philippines – Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. will petition for bail, his lawyer said Friday.
In a television interview, Joel Bodegon said his client would make the appeal after he turns himself in at the Sandiganbayan where he is expected to arrive at anytime from his home in Cavite.
Revilla is charged with plunder, a non-bailable offense, and graft over his alleged involvement in the pork barrel scam.
Also charged were fellow Senators Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada and Juan Ponce Enrile.
