/ 03:12 AM June 17, 2014

Today, June 17, is the 151st birth anniversary of journalist, lawyer and first Filipino criminologist Rafael del Pan. Born in 1863 in Intramuros, Manila, he was the first to translate Jose Rizal’s “Mi Ultimo Adios” into English. Del Pan is one of the founders of Camara de Comercio and the Nacionalista Party. After his death on May 12, 1915, a bridge in Manila was named in his honor.–Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
