MANILA, Philippines—Police on Friday arrested a man allegedly responsible for the death of a radio broadcaster in Bukidnon, police said.
The suspect, identified as Dionisio Dulong, was nabbed at 5:30 a.m. in Barangay (village) Paitan in Quezon, Bukidnon.
Dulong was allegedly behind the killing of radio broadcaster Joash Dignos in Maramag, Bukidnon in 2013.
Police Director Benjamin Magalong of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) of the PNP said Dulong was arrested for charges of two counts murder, two counts of frustrated murder, two counts of attempted murder.
Magalong said Daulong was apprehended in his girlfriend’s house while one caliber .45 pistol and several ammunitions were seized in his possession.
He added that the accused is one of the members of Batistil Criminal Gang which is engaged in highway robbery and hold-up and gun-for-hire operations in Bukidnon.
