Southwest monsoon continues to induce rains

MANILA, Philippines–With the rainy season continuing to give some drizzles and a gloomy and cloudy weather, the southwest monsoon is set to trigger more rains, the weather bureau said.

In its weather advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said that the southwest monsoon, locally known as “habagat”, would bring moderate to heavy rains to the Batanes group of Islands, Calayan and Babuyan group of Islands, regions of Ilocos and Cordillera and over the provinces of Bataan, Zambales and Pampanga.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon would experience occasional rains.
