The chamber approved House Bill 4590 with 210 votes, with no abstention and opposition.
The bill is titled “An Act prescribing the printing of graphic health warnings on tobacco products.”
The bill requires cigarette manufacturers and importers to print graphic pictures and textual warnings on the hazards of smoking on the cigarette package.
The bill last week hurdled both the health and appropriations committee before reaching the plenary.
