Fire worsens classroom lack in CamSur town
CALABANGA, Camarines Sur—The lack of classrooms in this town was made worse after three school buildings were damaged in a fire on Tuesday.
Victor de Villa, village chief of Manguiring, said the fire started past 4 p.m. at Manguiring Elementary School just a few minutes before classes ended for the day.
De Villa said the fire lasted until 6 p.m.
No one was hurt. SFO2 Roberto Sta. Clara said the buildings are no longer usable.
Sta. Clara said new chairs, books, a school sound system were also destroyed in the fire, which he said was caused by faulty wiring.
