Sudden downpour surprises sizzling Metro Manila
MANILA, Philippines – In the midst of the dry reason, a sudden downpour surprised Metro Manila residents Friday afternoon.
In its official Facebook account, the state weather bureau Pagasa said the strong rain was due to a thunderstorm affecting portions of Metro Manila, Rizal, Nueva Ecija and Tarlac (Mayantoc and San Jose), which may persist within two hours.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against heavy rains, strong winds, lightning and possible flashfloods,” Pagasa (Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration) said.
Before the downpour, the temperature in Metro Manila was at 34.8 degrees Celsius as of 2 p.m. on Friday, according to the Quezon City-Science Garden.
