Every year, May 28 to June 12 is declared Flag Days by virtue of Republic Act No. 8491 signed by President Fidel Ramos on Feb. 12, 1998. During this period, all offices, government agencies, business establishments, institutions of learning and private homes are encouraged to display the Philippine flag. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
