Woman trader killed in ambush

A 72-year-old businesswoman was killed while her son was wounded after they were ambushed late Friday afternoon by motorcycle riding men in Manila.
Lolita Javier, owner of the Agenda Salon at the Citiland Condominium’s Tower 1 along Vito Cruz in Malate, was declared dead on arrival by attending doctors at the Ospital ng Maynila from two bullet wounds.

Her 44-year-old son, Hector, who was ferrying her home on a Hyundai car (ZNW-954) to Malate, sustained gunshot wounds in the neck and right shoulder and is still in critical condition.

PO2 Jose Gumilan, of the Manila Police District (MPD) homicide section, said the incident happened at around 5 p.m. Friday, along Pablo Ocampo St. Jeannette I. Andrade
