MANILA, Philippines–Justice Secretary Leila De Lima on Monday reiterated her plea to the Senate not to make public the affidavit of Janet Lim Napoles.

She said the contents of the affidavit are still being verified in the vetting and evaluation procedure at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

“I reiterate my position… of course, I’m not imposing on the Senate, the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, and Senator TG Guingona… but I reiterate that the contents of the affidavit should not be made public,” De Lima said.

Napoles’ camp is expected to submit today her final and complete affidavit to De Lima. De Lima, in turn, will submit a copy of the affidavit to the Senate.

De Lima said she was informed by Napoles’ counsel that the affidavit is already complete.

“Her lawyers texted me and told me that they have finished the affidavit,” De Lima said.
