QUEZON CITY–A businesswoman was shot dead as she was about to get into a taxi just outside her Quezon City residence on Thursday.

Carmencita Soliman, 53, was attacked by two men shortly after leaving her house in Villa España Subdivision, Barangay Tatalon, around 2:20 p.m.

Case investigator PO2 Louie Serbito said the victim’s sister Catalina and a male companion were waiting for Soliman in the cab when the assailants approached. One of them drew a pistol and shot her in the face and back. The two men then fled on foot.
