Partly cloudy on Thursday

MANILA, Philippines—Sunny or partly cloudy weather will prevail over most parts of Luzon this week due to the ridge of a high-pressure area affecting the mainland, but scattered rains will occur in the afternoon or evening, the state weather bureau said.

Farther down south, the intertropical convergence zone will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in Mindanao over the weekend, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Based on the weather bureau’s weekly outlook, the whole country will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening from May 12 to 16.
