Police said on Monday that the two victims were attacked around 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Tierra Market on Commonwealth and Tandang Sora Avenues in Barangay New Era.
Police identified one of the two fatalities as Carlo Steve Diaz, 44, a resident of Pasig City. The other victim was described to be more or less 44 years old, 5’3” tall, of medium build and fair skinned.
The unidentified victim wore cream-colored slacks, a blue-and-white striped shirt, and sporting tattoos of the words “Elmer Gerda,” “Dennis Da Silva,” “Warrior Dantley,” “Manuel,” “Rickson Aquino” and “Ding Bautista.”
The case investigator, PO3 Jamie de Jesus, said both men died instantly of gunshot wounds in the head.
De Jesus quoted a female stall owner as saying the killer followed the victims as they walked in the market and shot Diaz first from behind. The other victim tried to run away but was cornered by the killer and shot in the head too.
The gunman was described as 5’6″ tall, of heavy build, fair-skinned, and wearing a blue shirt and black shorts.
The gunman fled on foot and was seen boarding a passenger jeepney, bringing with him a 9mm pistol.
Recovered from the crime scene were two live bullets, four spent shells and two slugs of a 9mm caliber.
