OFW killed in Sampaloc, Manila

MANILA, Philippines-An Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) was shot dead by still unidentified motorcycle riding assailants in Sampaloc, Manila early Friday, police said.

Senior Police Officer 1 Oliver Olarte told INQUIRER.net that the victim, Diosdado Villegas, 51, was gunned down around 8:00 a.m. in front of their house at Leyte Street between Visayan and Mindanao Streets in Balic-Balic, Sampaloc.

Meanwhile, a radio report quoted witnesses saying they saw the motorcycle with plate number 3794IT.

Olarte said no other details were available as an investigation is still ongoing.
