Let hospital resolve payment issue with Napoles

MANILA, Philippines – Let the Ospital ng Makati deal with Janet Lim-Napoles, Malacañang said Thursday when asked for a reaction on the businesswoman’s refusal to pay her hospital bills.
“Hahayaan na lang po natin ang Ospital ng Makati na magpasya hinggil sa bagay na iyan dahil iyan naman po ay transaksyon sa pagitan ng isang pasiyente at ng ospital na nagbigay ng serbisyo nito,” Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. told reporters.
(Let the Ospital ng Makati decide on that since it is a transaction between a patient and the hospital that gave its service.)
Despite her successful operation, Napoles remains confined in the hospital because of her unpaid bills. She is facing serious illegal detention charges and is accused of masterminding the pork barrel scam.
