MANILA, Philippines—After a fire engulfed the explosive device storage facility of the Philippine Army in Fort Bonifacio, a huge explosion caused 25 injuries. Two of the victims were severely burnt.

Smoke rises from the remains of a Philippine army munitions depot in Taguig City on May 7, after twenty-three people were injured when fire and a series of explosions struck the depot near the country’s financial district, officials and witnesses said. Local television footage showed uniformed soldiers carrying some of the injured on stretchers away from a burning building enveloped in black smoke, while three other victims sat on the pavement awaiting medical help.
