Did you know: Health Workers’ Day

Health Workers’ Day is celebrated every May 7 by virtue of Republic Act No. 10069 signed by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on April 6, 2010. As of October 2011, there were 460,000 health and social workers in the country, according to the National Statistics Office.—Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
