MANILA, Philippines – The number coding scheme will be lifted on Monday in Metro Manila except in Makati and Las Pinas, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said on Friday.

Under this scheme, vehicles with plate numbers ending in 1 and 2 will not be allowed on major roads.

The Pagkakaisa ng mga Samahan ng Tsuper at Operator Nationwide (Piston) will hold a nationwide transport strike on Monday to call for a fuel price rollback.
