MANILA, Philippines – Senate Majority Floor Leader Alan Cayetano urged Janet Lim-Napoles to “just do it” and reveal everything she knows about the alleged Malampaya fund scam.

“Why doesn’t she just come here and tell all? I’m a little bit cautious in believing someone who never told us the truth in the past, so my message to Ms. Napoles is just do it,” Cayetano said Monday.

“She’s making us go around in circles, I don’t know what her schemes and scams are,” he said.

Cayetano also said he believes there is someone powerful behind Napoles that is protecting her and treating her with “kid gloves.”

“For me, definitely there are people protecting her, because why is it that up to now she is in an ordinary jail? She is getting the same special treatment, there are still powerful people behind her. Who they are, I don’t know yet,” Cayetano said.

“Why doesn’t she just go here? Or have a press conference and allow herself to be cross examined and tell everything,” he said.
