MANILA, Philippines—Even with the immunity provided by the Office of the Ombudsman, Ruby Tuason cannot escape the forfeiture proceedings filed against her, Janet Lim-Napoles and others implicated in the pork barrel fund scam.

Asryman Rafanan, spokesperson of the ombudsman,  said that the immunity from suit is only for docketed cases in the Office of the Ombudsman.

The Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 22 is handling the forfeiture proceedings against those implicated in the alleged funnelling of pork barrel funds into fake foundations. The case was filed by the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC).
