Garcia moved to Muntinlupa jail

MANILA, Philippines – Retired Major General Carlos Garcia was moved out of Camp Aguinaldo and would be transferred to the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City, a military official said Friday.

Garcia, who was arrested early Friday, was detained initially at the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, said Deputy Spokesman Major Enrico Gil Ileto.

Radyo Inquirer 990AM reported that Garcia left the ISAFP detention center  shortly after 2 p.m. and was on his way to Muntinlupa City accompanied by a convoy of security personnel.
