Bike-riding killers target carpenter, vendor in QC
Motorcycle-riding gunmen killed two men near their homes in separate attacks Tuesday in Quezon City.
The killings happened about 12 hours apart and targeted Brendo Justicia, 44, a carpenter and resident of BF Road in Barangay Holy Spirit; and Rodolfo Dollente Jr., a 43-year-old vendor from Basa Street, Barangay Paltok, San Francisco del Monte.
Reports reaching the Quezon City Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (QCPD-CIDU), said Justicia was walking to work around 7:30 a.m. along BF Road when two men on a motorbike blocked his path and shot him several times.
Neighbors brought Justicia to East Avenue Medical Center, where he died around 10:30 p.m.
Around 7 p.m. the same day, Dollente Jr. was gunned down in front of his neighbor’s house on Basa Street.
PO2 Louie Serbito of the QCPD-CIDU said that Dollente was on his motorbike and preparing to leave when two men, also on a motorcycle, drove past and started shooting.
The victim’s wife, Gimema, was talking with neighbors when she heard the gunfire. She rushed home to see her bloodied husband sitting on the pavement and also the two assailants as they sped away.
Dollente was pronounced dead at Capitol Medical Center. Jeannette I. Andrade and Andrea Ocampo
