The shootings in which Brendo Justicia, 44, a carpenter of BF Road in Barangay (village) Holy Spirit, and 43-year-old vendor Rodolfo Dollente Jr of Basa Street, Barangay Paltok, San Francisco Del Monte, were riddled with bullets occurred nearly 12 hours apart of each other.
According to reports from the Quezon City Police District Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit, the first incident happened around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday while Brendo Justicia was walking to work on BF Road.
Police Officer 3 Erickson Isidro, case investigator, said two men on a motorcycle blocked the carpenter’s path and repeatedly shot him before speeding away.
Isidro said neighbors took Justicia to the East Avenue Medical Center where he died around 10:30 p.m. Recovered at the crime scene were four bullet casings from a .45 pistol.
Rodolfo Dollente Jr was gunned down in front of his neighbor’s house on Basa Street in Barangay Paltok.
PO2 Louie Serbito said Dollente was on his motorbike preparing to leave when two men, also on a motorcycle, drove past him and started shooting.
The victim’s wife, Gimema, was chatting with neighbors when she heard gunfire. She stumbled onto her husband sitting wounded on the pavement and saw two men fleeing on a motorcycle.
She rushed Dollente to the Capitol Medical Center where the victim died while being treated for multiple gunshot wounds.
Investigators recovered seven bullet casings from the site of the attack.
