The office of rehabilitation czar Panfilo Lacson announced Saturday the signing of a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with SM Foundation that would promote health in areas hit by Supertyphoon “Yolanda.”
In a statement, Lacson’s Office of the Presidential Assistant for Rehabilitation and Recovery (Oparr) said the Department of Health, city government of Tacloban and SM Foundation, one of the Oparr’s sector sponsors, executed the MOA in ceremonies marking SM Foundation’s commitment to help safeguard the health of people suffering from the effects of Yolanda.
First on the agenda is the rebuilding of Tacloban City Hospital.
The MOA was signed by Dr. Jose R. Llacuna Sr., regional health director, Alfred Romualdez, Tacloban City mayor, Connie Angeles, head of health and medical programs for SM Foundation, and Teresita Sy-Coson on behalf of Debbie P. Sy, executive director of SM Foundation.
Lacson and Oparr Undersecretary Danilo Antonio witnessed the MOA signing.
