‘Scolded’ teen found dead in QC home

QUEZON City, Philippines–A teenage girl was found dead and hanging inside her house while her family members were away for an outing on Good Friday in Quezon City.

Police said Princess Mahusay, 18, was found dead by her boyfriend Emmar Palma, 25, inside her residence at CMLI Compound on North Avenue, Barangay Pagasa.

Case investigator PO2 Rhic Pittong said Palma, an office messenger, went to his girlfriend’s house to visit her after they had a quarrel earlier. Mahusay’s family left earlier that day for a leisure trip to Zambales province, leaving the teenager alone in the house.

Quoting the victim’s relatives, Pittong said the girl was reportedly scolded by her parents for a still unknown reason.

Palma, a resident of Barangay Culiat, went to Mahusay’s house around 1:30 p.m. on Friday. When his knocks went unanswered, he let himself in since the door was not locked and found the woman with a blanket looped around her neck and hanging from a wooden beam. Julie M. Aurelio
