MANILA, Philippines – Black Saturday may be the best time for holidaymakers from provinces to go back to Metro Manila as traffic along the expressways remains light.

In its Twitter account, the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) said traffic is light at the Dau and Bocaue toll plazas on the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx).

Meanwhile, on the South Luzon Expressway (SLEx), traffic was light at the Alabang to Sto. Tomas mainline in both directions as of noon, according to the SLEx Twitter account. Traffic is also light at the Calamba toll plaza in both directions.

The exodus of vacationers caused heavy traffic along the expressways going to the provinces on Holy Wednesday and Maundy Thursday.
