MANILA, Philippines—For travellers along the North and South Luzon Expressways, patience is a virtue.
Early Thursday, exodus of vehicles continues to build up in several parts of NLEx and SLEx as commuters are heading to their provinces for their Holy Week vacation.
The Toll regulatory Board (TRB) said motorists experienced heavy traffic from Bocaue to San Simon exit along NLEx due to heavy volume of motorists.
TRB said heavy traffic was reported at the Dau exit where the queue at the Dau toll plaza was about 1 kilometer long.
Traffic is moderate to heavy along NLEx from Mindanao Avenue in Quezon City to Balagtas Interchange in Bulacan.
Southbound lanes of NLEX and both directions of the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) are fast moving.
Meanwhile, traffic along the Calamba Toll Plaza southbound is moderate with the queue of vehicles reaching 700 meters.
Motorists will experience light traffic along the entire stretch of the Cavite Expressway (CAVITEx) both northbound to southbound lanes.
Heavy traffic is expected along NLEx and SLEx during the Holy Week due to the exodus of motorists heading to their provinces.
