MANILA, Philippines – Senator Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada said he would pray this Holy Week that the Ombudsman and the Sandiganbayan justices would be enlightened on “pork barrel” scam and not judge them “unfairly.”
Estrada is one of those facing plunder and corruption charges in connection with the P10-billion “pork barrel” scam along with Senators Juan Ponce-Enrile and Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. and several other personalities.
Asked in an interview about calls for reflection and renewal this Lenten season, the senator said: “Lagi naman ako nagsasagawa ng spiritual renewal.”

“Basta ako ipagdadasal ko mga detractors ko ngayong Holy Week. [I] will pray for them to enlighten them sana maging makatao sila at huwag maging oportunista.”
