Metro number coding lifted starting today

MANILA, Philippines–For the “convenience and mobility” of travelers this Holy Week, the number coding scheme is lifted from Wednesday until Friday.

The Metro Manila Development Authority announced ‎in a statement that the lifting of Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) or the Number Coding Scheme is effective starting 9 a.m. Wednesday.

This will be effective for all private and public utility vehicles until Good Friday on April 18.

“The lifting of the Number Coding Scheme is aimed to facilitate convenience and mobility of travelers for the Holy Week,” the MMDA added.

MMDA has previously announced that it would lift the number coding from Maundy Thursday to Good Friday only.
