Getting There

/ 12:13 AM April 16, 2014

Those spending their vacation in Pagudpud town in Ilocos Norte province could reach Portabaga Falls by hopping on buses coming from Laoag City.

These buses pass the national highway every 30 minutes. In Laoag City, one can take a bus going to Apayao province, and alight at Santa Praxedes. The two-hour trip costs about P200.

From Metro Manila, one may take the 14-hour trip to Cagayan that will cost about P1,000.

The other option is to go to Tuguegarao City via Isabela province. For about P200, one can take a passenger van for a trip that would take over two hours.

If you don’t have time to take these long trips, you may hop on a plane to either Laoag City or Tuguegarao City. For these trips, about an hour long, prepare P5,000. From those points, though, the only mode of travel is by land. Inquirer Northern Luzon
