MANILA, Philippines – New World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao will arrive in the country this week but it might take a while before a courtesy call with President Benigno Aquino III is arranged.

We will confirm his travel plans…At a mutually convenient time, we can arrange that,” Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma said in Filipino on Tuesday.

Coloma, however, pointed out that the Holy Week may not be the appropriate time for the meeting.

Malacañang on Sunday congratulated Pacquiao for his “magnificent triumph” against Timothy Bradley in Las Vegas and called him a “national treasure.”
