MANILA, Philippines—Riders of the LRT and MRT this morning were greeted by a unique map wrapped around the Holy Tuesday issue of Inquirer Libre.

From afar, the map looks familiar to train riders. It was patterned after the ubiquitous stations map of light rail trains – with red dots marking the station/stops on a straight blue line.

However, if readers look closer they will see a “different” map. It is a special creative execution of Team Inquirer Libre designed to convey to train riders the message of Holy Week.

The red dots on the map depict the 14 stations of the traditional Way of the Cross.  The lone caption in the map reads “Siya rin madugo ang biyahe.” (He too suffered in His journey.)

The creative execution was conceptualized AMP/Amon+Maneze & Partners, Inc.

On June 19, 2013, a replica of the original cover Jose Rizal’s Noli Me Tangere wrapped the Inquirer Libre issue.
