Officials of Pasay and Muntinlupa have reminded residents to start storing water in preparation for a water service interruption during Holy Week.

In an advisory posted on its website, Maynilad earlier announced that it would be cutting the water supply to parts of Makati, Malabon, Manila, Navotas, Pasay and Caloocan from Holy Wednesday to Black Saturday.

During the same period, all areas in the cities of Las Piñas, Muntinlupa and Parañaque will also experience a water service interruption as Maynilad will be realigning its supply lines on Juan Luna and Hermosa Streets in Manila to clear the way for the Department of Public Works and Highways’ drainage box culvert project on Blumentritt Street.

“We will need 72 hours to expose, de-water, realign and energize our pipe because it is a seven-foot-tall primary line,” Maynilad explained in its water service interruption advisory.
