MANILA, Philippines – A vintage cannon was unearthed in Binondo, Manila on Friday, just days after two vintage big guns were dug up in the same area, Inquirer Radio 990AM reported.
The 8-foot cannon was discovered at a road construction site at the corner of Juan Luna at Muelle dela Industria streets in Binondo, the report said.
The report quoted Manila Police Explosive Ordinance Disposal Section chief Arnold Santos as saying a worker from the Department of Public Works and Highways found the cannon.
The cannon was unearthed after two vintage ones were also dug up in the same area on Wednesday, the report said.
Police said the cannons may date back to the Spanish period.
