BEIJING, China—Eight Chinese schoolchildren were killed and more than 10 injured after a bus carrying them overturned in southern China on Thursday, the official Xinhua News Agency said.
The fully loaded bus turned over while on a spring outing organized by a school in Chengmai county in Hainan province, Xinhua said.
The brief report did not provide details of what may have caused the accident.
Chinese schools traditionally organize outings in spring and fall for their students.
