Corona withdraws request for release of retirement pay

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines–Former Chief Justice Renato Corona withdrew his application for the release of his retirement pay at this time.

In his letter dated April 7, he said he is “respectfully withdrawing his application for release of his retirement pay at this time without prejudice to whatever action he may henceforth take.”

Corona was impeached in 2012 for failure to declare some of his assets in his Statement of Assets Liabilities and Net worth (SALN).
