Village official shot dead in QC

MANILA, Philippines – A village official was shot in Barangay (village) Batasan Hills, Quezon City Saturday morning.

Dixti Libi, 56, was dead on the spot after he was  shot twice on his face, Police Officer 2 Darwin Ferre of  Batasan Police Station 6 told INQUIRER.net . He said the gunman used a .45 calibre gun to kill the victim.

Ferre said Libi was the chairman of the board of the Dakila Homeowners Association in Barangay Batasan Hills and was seeking re-election this Sunday.

Police has yet to established the motive behind the killing as well  as the identity of the assailant.
