Teener beaten, killed

SAN JOSE CITY—A 15-year-old out-of-school youth was beaten and killed by four men in front of the public market here on Monday.

Jefferson Cortez, of Barangay Sto. Niño and who worked at the city slaughterhouse, died from severe head injuries, police said.

His body was found by policemen who were patrolling the market.

Cortez was last seen with his older brother, Jayson, boarding a tricycle on the way to the slaughterhouse. Armand Galang, Inquirer Central Luzon
