Village exec’s kidnapped son freed in Zamboanga Sibugay
MANILA, Philippines – The kidnapped son of a village official in Zamboanga Sibugay was released Thursday, police said.
Nine-year-old Randelle Talania was freed at around 2:40 a.m. in Barangay (village) Kitabog, Titay town in Zamboanga Sibugay, said Director Felicisimo Khu of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations in Western Mindanao.
Randelle was kidnapped last March 9 from Titay Elementary School. He is the son of Namnama village chairperson Rosemarie Talania, said Khu.
Khu disclosed that the boy’s parents paid his captors an undetermined amount of money.
He added that the victim was in stable condition and has since been returned to his parents.
