Man killed; body dumped in Mandaluyong City

MANILA, Philippines—The lifeless body of a man was found in Mandaluyong City on Monday morning.

Senior Insp. Herculano Mago, the city’s investigation chief, said the police have yet to identify the fatality, who was found inside a garbage bag on Madison Street in Barangay (village) Ilaya.

The bag was found at 7 a.m. by a concerned citizen who called the police. A check showed that the victim had been shot in the head, Mago said. “As of now, we can’t say if the (victim) is from Mandaluyong or from somewhere else,” Mago added.

The body was taken to St. Bernadette Funeral Homes.—Kristine Felisse Mangunay
