GUARD STRAFES ‘FOE’S’ HOUSE

A SECURITY guard strafed the house of a man whom he suspected of stabbing him in barangay Mantuyong, Mandaue City, last Tuesday night
Hernani Manigo, 30, of sitio Calderon, barangay Maguikay, Mandaue, was arrested by police after he went on a shooting spree.

According to the police investigation, Manigo of Glennco Security Agency was headed for  work past 9 p.m. when a man whom he came across the road attacked him with a knife.

Manigo survived the attack but sustained a graze wound in the back.

Manigo still reported for work after the incident.

Hours later, Manigo returned to Mantuyong and looked for a certain Jimmy Role, 33, the man whom he suspected of stabbing him.

Police said Manigo started firing when he arrived at Role’s house.

Policemen arrived and arrested Manigo.

Manigo was brought to the Mandaue District Hospital where he tested positive for alcohol use, said SPO4 Fernando Gabotero.

Recovered from Manigo was a .38 revolver with three bullets and an empty shell./REPORTER JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS

GIRL RAPED BY DRINKING BUDDIES

TWO young men were arrested by police after they were accused of raping a 17-year-old girl in barangay Ermita, Cebu City, last Tuesday night.

The identities of the suspects were not immediately known.

Police said the two men, aged 17 and 18 years old, and the girl had a drinking session.

After the drinking session, the two men offered to bring the girl home.

While walking home, the two men dragged the girl to the side of the road and reportedly raped her.

Later, members of the Mobile Patrol Group spotted the girl shouting for help.
