Cudia ‘counterpart’ already out of PNPA

Cudia 'counterpart' already out of PNPA

SILANG, Philippines—The “counterpart” of dismissed Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Cadet Jeff Aldrin Cudia is no longer in the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA), a police official said.

Chief Superintendent Noel Const‎antino, PNPA director, told reporters Monday in Camp Mariano Castañeda in Silang, Cavite that the senior cadet who violated the PNPA honor code had been kicked out of the school December last year.

“First semester pa lang wala na siya. So kung sasabihin niyong may Cudia dito, tapos na ‘yon (He was out since the first semester. So if you are telling me that there is a Cudia here, he is gone),” Constantino said.

The graduating cadet, who was not identified by the officials, violated the honor code after he was found guilty of cheating in exams.
“His professor saw him ‎sneaking in a piece of paper during exams,” the PNPA director said.

The senior cadet was likened to Cudia, who questioned the decision of the PMA Honor Committee after it had dismissed him for coming late to class by two minutes.

The cadet appealed the decision of the PNPA Honor Committee. The appeal is still pending.

Aside from the cadet guilty of cheating, another senior cadet also got dismissed from PNPA for maltreating and punching a plebe.
