‘Warty’ duo pull off smooth heist in QC salon
Posing as customers who wish to have their warts removed, two armed men pulled off a robbery at a salon in Barangay Bahay Toro, Quezon City, taking some P150,000 in cash and valuables on Thursday.
In a report to the police, the employees of YSA Skin Care Clinic said the two men walked in around 4:45 p.m. and inquired about the prices for wart cauterization.
Minutes later, while at the waiting area, the men pulled out handguns and declared a holdup as skin care adviser Jocelyn Valdezco approached them with a price list.
PO3 Al Ponferrada of the Quezon City Police District’s Talipapa station said four employees were forced to hand over eight cell phones worth P89,000; two iPads worth P44,000; an Acer netbook worth P8,500; P8,500 in cash, and several ATM cards, IDs, keys and documents.
The suspects then casually walked out of the clinic with their loot. Julie M. Aurelio
