Bus and truck collide, killing 14 in Brazil
SAO PAULO — Police say 14 people were killed in a head-on collision between a dump truck and a minibus in northern Brazil.
At least 20 passengers were injured and rushed to nearby hospitals after Friday night’s accident in the city of Manaus. Their condition was not immediately known.
Citing witnesses, police said the dump truck jumped the road divider and slammed into the oncoming minibus.
Witnesses told police the truck driver apparently lost control of the vehicle.
Both drivers, as well as a pregnant woman and a baby were among those killed.
