Cloudy skies this weekend
MANILA, Philippines—Expect overcast skies over the weekend, especially in the eastern section of the country.
The state weather bureau forecast partly cloudy to cloudy weather prevailing over most parts of the archipelago at least until April 1.
In an advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the easterlies, or warm, moist winds from the Pacific Ocean, were affecting the eastern section, bringing clouds over several regions.
“The entire archipelago will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms mostly over the eastern section,” it said.
Pagasa declared this week the onset of the dry season, which coincided with the termination of the northeast monsoon, which brought in cold winds from Siberia.
