MRT normal operations resume

MANILA, Philippines – The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT3) on Monday morning resumed its normal operations after suffering a technical glitch.

Atty. Al Vitangcol, general manager of MRT3, told INQUIRER.net that normal operations resumed at 9:25 a.m.

Vitangcol, in a separate interview over radio, said that the management decided to restrict MRT operations from North Avenue to Shaw Boulevard on Monday morning because of problems concerning the “communications and signalling system.”

He said their central computer system was not able to detect trains from Taft Avenue to Buendia station.

The same problem had occurred on Saturday afternoon.
