MANILA, Philippines—The low pressure area (LPA), previously called Tropical Depression Caloy, is lingering within the Philippine area of responsibility, as a result of which the country will have cloudy skies and occasional rains, the state weather bureau said on Monday morning.
According to the 5 a.m. bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services (Pagasa), the LPA was in the vicinity of the Sulu Sea.
Pagasa said the Visayas will have cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms.
Northern Mindanao, the Bicol Region, Mimaropa, and the provinces of Surigao will be similarly cloudy with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms, while Cagayan Valley will experience light rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the Philippines would be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
