MANILA, Philippines— Tropical depression “Caloy” made its landfall over Tandag City, Surigao del Sur Saturday morning, the state weather bureau said Saturday.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Atronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 11 a.m. bulletin that the tropical depression was estimated at 70 km southeast of Surigao City or in the vicinity of Tandag City, Surigao del Sur as of 10 a.m.
Caloy has maximum sustained winds of 45 km per hour near the center and was moving west at 11 kilometers per hour .
Signal number 1 was still raised over Southern Leyte, Bohol, Siquijor, Cebu, Negros Provinces, Guimaras, Surigao del Sur, Surigao del Norte including Siargao, Dinagat, Northern Agusan del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Northern Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, and Camiguin.
