Superintendent Querubin Manalang, city police director, said the newly arrested suspects, identified as Sameon Kalilang, 35; Maida Ebrahim, 31; and Arturo Petalino, 35, were arrested inside a lodge along Roxas Extension here Tuesday.
Manalang said joint operatives of the city police and the provincial anti-drugs task force seized four sachets of suspected shabu from the suspects during the buy-bust operation.
“Two money transfer receipts were also recovered from their possession,” he said.
Senior Superintendent Michael John Dubria, Davao del Sur police director, said the intensified campaign against drugs has so far netted more than a dozen persons since the start of the year.
“And most of them traded drugs in large volumes. They are not the small ones,” he said.
On Sunday, another suspect was arrested by joint police and Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency operatives in Tienda Aplaya village here.
The suspect yielded some P500,000 worth of shabu when accosted by anti-drugs agents.
