LGU league officers sworn into office

MANILA, Philippines – President Benigno Aquino III on Tuesday led the oath-taking ceremony of the new officers of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) and various leagues of local government units (LGU) at the Manila Hotel.
Accompanied by Interior Secretary Mar Roxas, the President administered the oath of office to 22 new officers of the LMP and officers of the following organizations:
– Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas
– National Movement of Young Legislators
– Philippine Councilors League
– Vice Mayor’s League of the Philippines
– League of Cities of the Philippines
– Provincial Board Members League of the Philippines
– League of Vice Governors of the Philippines
– League of Provinces of the Philippines
The new LMP officers will serve from 2013 to 2016.
